Portable Cold Storage Room: Our Freezer Meets Cooler

Recently, one of our projects was a combination of a freezer and cooler container. This met our customers needs for a portable cold storage room without having to spend an arm and a leg.
Combination Freezer and Cooler Container
The combination freezer and cooler container was built for a customer in need of a cold storage room. Because this customer was renting their property, they didn’t want to install a permanent cold storage solution at their current facility.
Shipping containers are portable and can work as the perfect cold storage solution. That’s why they called us! When our customer decides to move to a new property it is no problem at all. We can transport the container to their new facility with one of our tilt-bed trailers.
What’s Inside
The purpose of this project was to build a container that had both cooling and freezing capabilities. Using an interior wall we split the container into two sections. We also installed an outdoor door on each section.
The freezer/cooler combo was equipped with:
- 2 walk-through cold storage doors
- An interior divider wall to separate the cooler and freezer sections
- Interior lighting
The cooler section used a conventional window air conditioner. Also installed was and a CoolBot controller that will easily maintain 38 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Refrigerated Containers
Over the years, we have created quite a few custom refrigerated containers. This includes our line of ICE-Cubz containers. It also includes our climate controlled container for temperature sensitive chemicals and paints.
