Celebrating 15 Years of USA-Containers, LLC — 2010 to 2025. This year marks a major milestone — we’re celebrating 15 years in business at USA-Containers, LLC! Since opening our doors in 2010, we’ve had the privilege of serving customers across the country with high-quality shipping containers, custom modifications, refrigerated units, and exceptional service.
Over the years, we’ve grown from a small local operation into a trusted name in the container industry. From standard storage solutions to fully customized builds like offices, hunting cabins, butcher shops, concessions, kilns, and many more specialty units, we’ve worked hard to meet each customer’s unique needs with honesty, reliability, and craftsmanship.
When USA-Containers, LLC first started in 2010, we operated with just a small inventory, renting space in Chicagoland and working out of a home office. Over time, we’ve expanded first by building a two-level shop out of stacked containers and moving our yard from Chicago to Smithshire, IL. We were then able to have customers visit our yard to view and pick out their own containers. A few years later, we expanded again by building additional office space from two more containers.
Our journey hasn’t been without challenges, but our team’s dedication and the continued support of our loyal customers have kept us strong. We’re especially proud of the relationships we’ve built — many of our customers have come back time and again, and their word-of-mouth referrals have helped us grow more than anything else. As our reputation grew, new opportunities followed.
“When we started, we couldn’t have imagined how far this business would come,” said Mike Alecock, co-owner. “Fifteen years later, we’re still driven by the same values — honesty, reliability, and support after the sale.”
In 2018 we partnered with Nyle Systems, LLC to install their kiln kits into insulated shipping containers — now sold all over the United States. Over the past 15 years, we’ve delivered thousands of containers and helped customers turn simple corten steel boxes into functional, creative spaces. From on-farm storage units to full-scale business facilities, we’ve proven that containers can be as flexible as your imagination.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we want to say thank you to everyone who has been part of our story — our customers, partners, drivers, office staff, and fabrication team. Your trust and support have made these 15 years possible.
We’re excited about what’s ahead. With new container projects, innovative designs, and continued expansion, USA Containers, LLC is ready for the next 15 years and beyond!
