Meet Johnny!
My name is Johnny Ryffel and I started working at USA-Containers in June 2016. I’m from Oquawka, Illinois, and recently moved to Stonghurst, Illinois. I have known the Alecock family for about eight years. Let’s just say there aren’t many families like this one. On several occasions, they have treated me like their own kid, like taking me on vacations, college visits, and giving me the great opportunity to help build their company.
I was around when they first started this company and have seen how much work they put into it. To see how far they have taken the company in such a short amount of time is truly amazing. It proves that the American dream is still alive.
When I first started working here it was only when I had free time. At that point, I was working full-time for the local 577 Ironworkers. Once I started to get a feel for working at USA-Containers, I knew that this was my career. So, I left my job to come here full-time and haven’t looked back. The Alecock’s treat their employees with great respect and teach them so much. It feels good to only be 22 and already have my career figured out!
The USA-Containers staff is extremely creative with these containers. Not only do we come up with good ideas, our customers do as well. We’ve customized them into offices, dog kennels, and even our shop is made out of containers.
I am very excited to see where our new project goes – the Ice Cubes. They are a better-built reefer container that are completely re-designed from top-to-bottom. They are made in the USA, a lot more mobile, and we can’t wait to put them on the market. The staff still has so many ideas and I feel like we are just getting started!
